It looks like you are the "Official" go to person for Catch-22 in Ottawa. A couple of questions.
1) I filed a complaint with Elections Canada in regard to another matter. In their response they detailed election spending requirements that appear to indicate that any spending I do on behalf of, or in association with, Catch-22 becomes a reportable expense. can you confirm your understanding of this?
2) I want to create a "landing page" on Catch-22. My current intent is to distribute flyers that reference Catch-22. The flyers contain a print URL which leads to a page of URLs each of which references a set of polling stations, provides a Google map of the precinct boundaries, and shows the breakdown of the vote. My premise is that once electors view the vote splits on the left, and the way these vote splits serve to elect CPC by default, then they will act in their own best interests by voting strategically. Just in working with the raw data I am quite amazed at how close the races were and the degree to which the results skewed left but elected right. Not quite sure how I go about creating the landing page (I know CSS and HTML etc, I am unfamiliar with the CMS that underlies Catch-22) nor quite sure who I need to contact to obtain Catch-22 approvals for use of Catch-22 name.
3) Issues in 2 above will likely be common in all 22 ridings. Have not found a page on Catch-22 that describes how to go about getting approval for creation of Catch-22 associated literature. This might be something to add.
4) Will forward the Elections Canada email later tonight. I work nights at the moment and am a little rushed for time.
Cheers!
