The Catch 22 campaign is not the first, nor will it be the last campaign to ask voters to consider supporting their second choice as a way to minimize vote-splitting and defeat the Conservatives. Until Canada adopts a democratic voting system with equal votes for all, the greater good will trump the narrow interests of the parties for many voters.
