Dr. Kellie Lietch is an ortho doc for children but, significantly, she has an MBA and is listed as Adjunct Faculty on the Richard Ivey School of Business which is part of the University of Western Ontario.  Among the six courses taught at this school is "Private Health Sector Strategy".   She is a life-long conservative from Alberta.  According to some commenters I've read, she was brought into running for the Conservatives by Tony Clement and Jim Flaherty and invited to choose the riding she wanted.  Well, a conservative in Simcoe-Grey can count on a job for life.  Just ask Jim Wilson.  Furthermore, check out Nigel Wright who has been brought into Harper's PMO.  He is a CEO at ONEX -a private health care insurance company from U.S.  Here is Stephen Harper himself from his famous "I hate Canada speech" delivered to a group of right wing lobbyists in the US in 1997:  "It's about time the feds got rid of Canada's Health Act"; also on the cover of David Gratzer's book "Code Blue" which tears apart our medicare and argues it should be replaced by US style private medicine, Stephen Harper says "Gratzer proposes a workable solution for the biggest policy problem of the coming generation - the government controlled health care monopoly."   So you can see why Harper wanted rid of Helena Guergis (even though she can be counted on to support Harper if elected).   As Harper has already said, we won't know Canada when he's done with it.  He has parachuted Dr.Leitch into a safe riding so he can install her as Minister of Health to privatize health care.  The present deal with provinces on health care transfers is due to expire 2014.  It will be very easy for Harper to reduce the transfers (we have to pay for jails), by claiming we have to tame the deficit dragon (which he created).  That will cripple our universal health care and then you'll see the vultures move in to pick at the carcass.  I've been frustrated trying to get word out to the good people of this riding; I know they would not stand for any of this.  How do we get more people on board to stop Harper?
