Who Are We Supporting? 5 Replies

I assume that we will be supporting the Liberals in this riding.  Has this been a decision?  I read that I should not assume anything in Catch 22 and that each riding would be selecting the target…Continue

Please share this 9 minute youtube of John Baird's attempt to disrupt a parliamentary committee last year. Contempt of Parliament? You be the judge.

John Baird was knocking on doors in Briargreen tongiht - first time since they've been in power that he's come knocking - good work 'cause I think he's worried.

A double on Saturday!  The yellow shirted walking demonstrators are going to be hitting two locations on Saturday. We are  going to begin at Bayshore Shopping Centre at 2:30 til 4;30 then we are heading down to the Market for 5:00.

Come to both if you can or meet us in front of the CTV building in the Market on Saturday at 5:00.Bring flyers if you can.

IF IT IS NOT RAINING ON FRIDAY WE WILL BE AT THE SPARKS ST MALL AT NOON.

An interesting effort was suggested by a North Vancouver Catch 22 member:

One of the effective ways we've been driving traffic to our website is by going to mainstream news sites and adding comments to story with a link to Catch 22. So, please when you comment on news articles, also include a link to catch22campaign.ca
WE CAN EASILY BE RESPONDING HERE IN OTTAWA WEST NEPEAN TO CITIZEN ARTICLES, CBC AND OTHER NEWS OUTLETS...LINKING TOPICS TO US AT CATCH 22.

A dedicated group of Ottawa West Nepean Catch 22 members were out at College Square today....one of the areas of poorest voter turnout. We visited the Loblaws, the LCBO and the Home Depot. We were seeing interest from both shoppers and store clerks. One very elderly shopper urged us on with "Good for you! Somebody has to stand up to Harper!" Another shopper commented "With those bright yellow tshirts, we get the message". Hope so!

The yellow shirts were creating a buzz around the Market in downtown Ottawa yesterday.People in outdoor cafes were calling to us and people on the street  were begging for shirts. A mother and daughter insisted on having "Vote for Democracy NOT Baird" shirts instead of the "Vote for Democracy NOT Harper" shirts. "We live in the riding"they told us...it is important to get Baird out of office."

CBC is playing parts of the interview they did with David Balson on Sparks St Mall on Thursday.  We are getting the message out.

Well done Ottawa West Nepean Catch 22 members!

See you today at College Square  12:30 in front of the Loblaws.

Hats off to all the Ottawa West Nepean Catch22 members who showed up on a cold, nasty day here in Ottawa. Bright yellow shirts were popping up all over Sparks St Mall. Most were sporting "Vote for Democracy NOT Harper" but there were a few "Vote for Democracy NOT Baird" ones too. We were interviewed by CBC on Sparks St and by Global on Parliament Hill. Fabulous effort!
See you tomorrow at the Market in front of CTV on George ST at 5:00 pm. WE'll have another walk and go for dinner later. Generic flyers would be most appropriate for tomorrow. Bring them if you have them.
See you there!
