I assume that we will be supporting the Liberals in this riding.  Has this been a decision?  I read that I should not assume anything in Catch 22 and that each riding would be selecting the target candidate for everyone to support.

Hi Frances,

Yes, the Catch 22 campaign group in Ottawa supported the campaign team's recommendation to support Liberal candidate Anita Vandenbeld.

We'll be updating our profile pages this week and putting together all recommendations on a single page as well.

I will be glad to help to get ride of Baird and his anti education, anti science, anti middle class, anti-democracy agenda.

Any meetings or community work planned ?

Hi Mike,

There is a meeting tonight at the Carlingwood YMCA Centre at 7:00 PM.

So, at this stage of the election, I'm not sure how Catch 22 works.  I'm wondering if the best use of my time is just to put myself at the service of the Liberals in that riding.  I have a long drive to get there, so I have to choose which meetings.  What is the agenda at the meeting tonight?

Hi there, our Ottawa meeting tonight will finalize flyers, t-shirts, posters and strategy. Also we'll look at media.

At the last meeting of 20 people, it was agreed to analyze the Ottawa West-Nepean polling from the last election, focus on youth and seniors, set up information booths in shopping malls and leaflet specific areas. There will also be discussion of the other two targetted ridings in the region, since the Conservative in Ottawa-Orleans won by less of a margin than Baird did. Also we are having materials translated that could be used in Pontiac. We will be creating lists of volunteers, so people can sign up for specific duties. It's a unique political experience! You should try it.
