Progressives -- please vote Omar Alghabra (LPC) to defeat Harper in this riding.

I am born-raised Mississauga-Erindale native. Last year the CPC won the riding with 42.7% by just 1% over the LPC candidate at 42.0%. The NDP got 8.5%, and the Green got 6.5%.  We simply can't split…Continue

Hi

I'm new to the group.

In speaking with Omar a week ago, besides getting a lawn sign and/or volunteering with his campaign, he suggested that maybe we should try sending a letter(s) to the Mississauga news and/or comment on their Politics web site on the various articles they post.

It is hard to reach non political folks, non-bloggers etc., but positive stories and or feedback in the only local press we have in Mississauga might help.

Just a passing it on. http://justanotherwillyloman.blogspot.com/

I support Omar because he reached out to the youth unlike any politician.

Why vote for Omar? Because we need Omar Alghabra in parliament to speak up for Mississauga Erindale? - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77y9oBR-zF8

Whatever your political affiliation, Omar is the best candidate for the riding.

Regardless this elxn is a referendum about the Integrity of Stephen Harper & his suitability to govern Canada. A Harper majority will continue the Harper agenda to further erode democracy in Canada!

I'm disappointed the LPC platform did not include a pledge to replace FPTP ballot with the Alternate Vote (Preferential Ballot). Same ballot UK will hold referendum over this May!

Last-second candidate switch
New Democratic Party (NDP) organizers were left scrambling this week when their nominated candidate in Mississauga-Erindale announced he wouldn't run — and that he was supporting Prime Minister Stephen Harper's Conservatives instead.

In 2008 the Conservative candidate Bob Dechart beat the Liberal candidate Omar Alghabra by only 239 votes (23,795 to 23,556) with the NDP and Green candidates was behind (4,767 and 3,636 respectively) so if we want to get rid of Harper - vote Liberal!
