I won't have time for that, although it sounds like a good idea if anyone else can scope it out.

If you can also find any community listings in smaller papers, we might be able to get a meeting notice in.

I could TRY to do it tomorrow, depending on how the day goes.

p.s. - If there was a meeting planned, we could look at an ad. Can someone get prices for the local paper(s)?

We're working on the template flyer as we speak. I just worked on Version 2. Give us a couple more days to get it right. We also have to clarify some Elections Canada rules about printing them locally. I hope to find out more on Tuesday.

I just Skyped into the Ottawa meeting very successfully. Can we recreate this for Kitchener? If enough people wanted to attend, I would also consider taking the drive time permitting.

That's a good idea!  I'll wait to see what Gary and the gang have in terms of templates I could perhaps use to print some up, then see if I can find some time to put them up in a few places.

Hi Jenn,

Both ridings working together sounds like a very good idea but there must be 100's of people who would help if they knew what was happening---any chance of taking out some ads or putting up some "help wanted" posters on public boards and on telephone poles?

That's great, Lanny.

I don't live in the riding, either, but I wonder if Kitchener-Waterloo and Kitchener Centre could work together on this, since both ridings would then have more of our 'legs' working.

Hi all,

I'm not a constituent of this riding, but I think there's a couple key point that can be made...

Woodworth won this riding by 339 votes. That's only 1.6 votes per poll!!

I think a targeted campaign to drop leaflets in some specific ridings would be successful in prying those votes away. I would propose going after polls where the NDP and GPC did well in the last election (I'm assuming that the LPC candidate will receive the Catch22 endorsement of course).

The spreadsheet attached highlights polls that could be targeted. Obviously, members of this riding would be more capable of gauging where the focus should be, but this could be a start. Once you've selected some polls, you can use this link to map out EXACTLY the area represented by a specific polling station.

That would be fantastic Dawn! Thank you. And please encourage more people to join the online Kitchener (groups). It will make it easier to talk to each, share information about Waterloo area ridings and organize. That's why we built this social network this way.
Cheers
