By my reading of the latest Angus Reid poll, the NDP is close to defeating the Conservative here, while the Liberal has dropped to third.

Here's the flyer for our CAPP/Fair Vote event on April 28th.  Everyone is invited.

Hopefully, we could have some Catch 22 flyers there for me to hand out!

Thanks once again Jenn,

I think we've cracked the flyer funding nut and will confirm in the next day or so. It should make it easy for people anywhere to get going in minutes.

BTW, Gary, I wasn't preparing flyers without your template, so the wording will conform to the rules.  It didn't occur to me, though, until you mentioned it that people can't just "print up a couple" without accounting for the costs.

And I'm at work and don't have your email here.

Yes, Melissa Facebooked my partner in events, Anita (the Fair Vote part of our CAPP/Fair Vote partnership--also the one that does all the work.)  I tried to reply to Anita's Facebook message, too, but I'm not a good Facebooker, and couldn't even find Anita!

You do sound like a fabulous group!  I'd love for K-W to have the larger rally you want to come to, but I simply can't do it in April and, uh, any other time misses the point.  But I will keep an eye out for someone else to do it.  Any volunteers here?

We had our Stratford Democracy Watch meeting last night---we agreed to suspend all of our normal group projects to just work on the election. Several people want to come to KW to join a larger rally. We are setting up an outdoor demonstration every sunday (until the election) here in Stratford by the fountain downtown with signs, an info table(that will inclued Catch22 info/strategies), I'll be renting a mike and speakers and we are building a "soapbox". We are having an election strategy meeting this wed and sign painting on thurs. We also have several young people who will be targetting young voters and handing out registration/polling station info every week. One of our members is from Kitchener and may be in touch with you, Jenn. Her name is Mellissa.

I"m going to clarify some rules. Any advertising with Catch 22's name on it has to meet certain criteria. Flyers would be considered advertising. We're working on an official flyer for the end of the week. How that the election has been called, we'll need to tweak our posters and ensure that they comply so please hold off. Can you send me an email and we can discuss there further as more info becomes available? Thanks

Oh, Gary, what did you mean about Elections Canada rules about printing locally?  I was just contemplating printing out ten or so (posters) on my computer.  Would I be running afoul of the rules?
