I am not a member of a political party. My philosophy has always been that I am a Tommy Douglas socialist. That is a combination of thoughtfull social values supported by economic realities. I surprised myself by sending in a donation to Catch 22 and getting on this page.I guess it is a measure of my dislike of the corporate psycopathy of the Harper government which is so opposite to what a "Canadian Government" should be, their arrogance has made an activist out of an old guy.

So "Go Catch 22" I will vote strategically. The good news is that we have an intelligent, very well spoken and thoughtful candidate in Elizabeth May. It will be a refreshing change from the sycophantic incumbent.

I am nervous about this election. A Harper majority would be the end of Canada but a Liberal majority scares me too. They have voted with the Cons on so many issues. The Libs also implimented other globalist agendas like the SPP when they were in power. I was disgusted with Paul Martin after listening to him interviewed on the Oh Canada Our Bought and Sold Out Land video. I see very little difference between Cons and Libs. I think it's a two pony show to give us the illusion that we have any say in what parliament does. In fact, a Supreme Court case in Alberta ruled that MP's have no legal obligation whatsoever to do the will of their constituents. One way or another, Canadians need to take an active role in our democracy by raising a royal stink everytime politicians step out of line and I don't care what party they represent.
