Hi folks,

You've done a lot of work with this site, congratulations. My riding, Peterborough, has a Conservative MP. I will have to investigate further what your threshold is in terms of what ridings you then could be made ABC.
Thanks Lexy. We've moved and updated the ridings selection criteria from the facebook group to here.
Hey folks, just wanted to note that 100 peeps have signed up to Catch 22. I'll do some more serious publicity tomorrow. Tonight, I need sleep.
No prob, Michael. I'm happy to help. I'm already signed up to work on Noah Evanchuk's campaign in Palliser. I would hope there's a way to meld the two campaigns.
What is the strategic Plan for catch22?
Our plan can be found here: http://catch22campaign.ca/page/campaign-plan
Thanks
Pro 'strategic voter' speaker needed.

Hi. I'm also a member of Waterloo Region's Canadians Advocating Parliamentary Participation (CAPP, formerly Canadians Against Proroguing Parliament). We are thinking about possibly having an event in May, and we thought a discussion on strategic voting might be interesting for our region. We have someone in mind (haven't contacted yet) for the 'con' side of the debate, but I was wondering if any of the organizers of Catch 22 would be able to speak on the pro side. Everything is very tentative at the moment, but just an indication that someone would be willing and able to speak in Kitchener, Ontario, on this subject would be a great start.

Oh, for full disclosure, I'm also a member of the Kitchener-Waterloo Liberal executive. Not that that has anything to do with this, but I must remember to disclose it--I don't want to be Helena Geurgis's staffer!
Jenn,
I'll send you an email to reply to your request.
Thanks
Gary
With all of the publicity surrounding the maternal health issue, I am somewhat surprised that women across Canada are not up in arms over this. Although there are several Facebook/Social Networking sites discussing this issue they have nowhere near the numbers a site like the anti-prorogation site attracted. Given that the Conservative ideology surrounding maternal health may ultimately affect care and services Canadian women may have access to, should a Conservative majority under Harper ever see the light of day, this is extremely worrying.
I know that most women are reluctant to get into this discussion. Many of us do think life is sacred and that abortion should not be used carelessly as a contraception, however, regardless of what my personal thoughts are, I firmly and unequivocably support a woman's right to choose. Can someone provide some feedback. What is happening across the country vis a vis women? We are half the population of Canada....I can't believe our attitudes won't make a difference.

*Pair Vote Canada* hgas exactly the same goal as this group so let us immediatley work together for synegry. We should be pointing all our contacts to Pair Vote Canada or Vote Swap Canada. Pair Vote seems more anti Harper but it could be close. These web based facilitators allow you to trade a meaningless vote in a riding where your choice is sure to lose, for a vote where it makes a difference, while helping defeat the right winger in your riding. Expanding such services will make for a more fair result in the house and will offer less incentive to keep the first past the post electoral system alive. Instead of simply asking voters to vote strategicaly, we reward them for it! Who would be in charge of the issue - not much time left - need to act fast!
